The Damned Spot: Celebrities who have Acne!
Ok, this post is going to involve some serious gloating and is purely an exercise in drawing comfort from other people’s misery. Is that base and shameless? Perhaps, but whether it is happiness or sorrow, spread it around is my motto, and hence this post about celebrities with acne, and how they have become celebrities nonetheless.
As a long-term acne sufferer, I cannot tell you what solace I found in the fact that Britney Spears, for instance, has acne too. Of course, in Britney’s current condition, acne must seem like the least of her worries, but for showbiz folks generally, a flawed face would require some mean make-up tricks.
There’s Brad Pitt, whose face clearly bears the scars of past acne outbreaks. And he’s regularly voted one of the world’s 50 sexiest people or whatever. Another good example would be Liz Hurley, a classic case of famous for being famous. Watch her face in close-up and you’ll see what I mean. Two other very notably acne-scarred faces are those of Ray Liotta and John Malkovich. And two very beautiful acne sufferers are Cameron Diaz and Alicia Silverstone. And we’ve only scratched the surface here.
You could also take heart from the fact that while filming Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the shooting team had a really tough time disguising the very visible acne breakouts on the faces of teenage stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
My point is that if these celebrities, despite the hours spent with personal fitness trainers, nutritionists and dietitians can come down with acne, anyone can. My other point is that despite their acne, these folks have obviously dared to take the world head on and try and overcome their problem. So acne does not indicate the end of the world. Let these celebrities show you how!
