My daughter wants to try a new acne treatment (proactive and everything from the drug store) Do not work for her.

She has super sensitive skin and its acne proan. I have heard great things about skinID and murad and was wondering what one would be best for her again her skin is super sensitivite and acne proan

Please don’t say try this or that we have tryed everything except for skinID and murad.

skinID is the best acne treatment, because they make it JUST FOR YOU. how cool is that ? very. yea so you should get that, i havent heard of murad but im sure skin ID is better. and never trust proactive or anything like thattt =]

I recently tried using “Exposed Skin Care” for my face, and found the results to be more troublesome than helpful as I found i’m extremely sensitive to salicylic acid. 2 of the main steps in the morning and evening had this as the main ingredient. I only used it for about 2.5 days, however I haven’t used it for a full 2 days and my skin is still feeling the effects (peeling, red, rough, break outs).

Give yourself about a week..and leave it alone..it should calm down..sounds like an allergic reaction to me.

I am a twelve year old girl. I get acne mostly on my forehead (mainly between my eyebrows), near my nose and on my chin. My nose is really oily too, i dont know why! I have used nutregena oil-free acne wash, nutregena rapid clear, and clearasil daily face wash, but all of them either did nothing, or made my acne worse, or dried out my skin! Right now all i am doing is washing my face with plain soap daily. It helps somewhat. My mom wotn let me use any zit cream or anything, only face washes, because she says the other stuff will dry out my skin. What is some things i can do to get rid of my oily skin and acne without drying out my skin?. Nothign too expensive, i cant afford proactive or any of that stuff. preferably natural.

Please don’t waste your money on that product.

Use Philosophy… Get the Makeup Optional kit to improve your skin overall… it will give you soft glowing skin… and alternate with Philosophy’s “On a Clear Day” system for acne/blackheads.

I’m confused with all of the info-mercials and what acne treatment system will treat my skin. I have mild acne and normal-to-dry skin. I wash my face twice a day daily but that doesn’t seem to get rid of the few zits/black heads. Help me!

Try Acne Free. It works well because it uses benzoil peroxide instead of the cheap salicylic acid that most acne treatments use.
It might dry out your skin. If that happens, put lotion on the dry parts and slow down the treatment. If it gets really bad, dab Vaseline/ petroleum jelly on the problem spots.
You can buy Acne Free in the drug store. It comes in bright orange packages. I would also get the Spot treatment thing in the separate box because that works really well on taking down growing zits.
If the regular Acne Free doesn’t work, you can try the orange bottles. It has a different name, like Extreme Acne Free or something like that.

Aside from the obvious of eating healthy and avoiding junk food, consider taking vitamin B and baking soda scrubs. I also put a bit of salus spray on baking soda and it works remarkably well. Try it. I get the spray from ebay and it lasts forever if refrigerated.

I’ve been struggling with breakouts since middle school (i’m 22 now) and lately i’ve been getting more and more breakouts. I tried prenatal vitamins to help but besides making my nails healthy, they haven’t improved my skin at all and I’m almost done with the bottle!

I’m skeptical about trying Murad, does anyone know if this stuff works or a different brand that works well?

i really like murad. it has salycilic acid so it’s alot more mild on your skin. the pills work to but i would def. go to a dermatologist for a prescription.

what works for me is the neutrogena acne stress control wash. it is hypoallergenic and comedogenic. you can buy it almost everywhere.

i use it and i have no more acne whatsoever. and its better than the expensive ones like proactive and all that…ive tried it and im much more satisfied with this one.
