Natural Acne Medication Tips

Acne medication as any acne treatment can be divided into 2 parts in two categories: natural and chemical; outward and internal. Let’s get back to the natural treatment. Natural preparations can be effective in themselves and in conjunction with other acne medication.

Green tea and Green tea extract. Unlike other types of tea, green tea is not fermented. By virtue of this feature it is oxidation-free and retains the active ingredients within the leaves. Green tea contains antioxidants (polyphenols) which are much more effective than Vitamin C and Vitamin E. It reduces the hormone’s levels which causes acne. At the same time it contains much less caffeine than black tea. It is useful to drink 3 to 4 cups of green tea daily, without sugar. You may also wipe your face with the warm tea bag.

Aloe Vera contains polysaccharides, amino acids, enzymes, vitamins and minerals, all of them protect the skin. It is in general use in creams, sprays, lotions, soap, liquids, gels, and capsule forms acne medication. But if you have deep or infected acne, do not try acne aloe treatment without your doctor recommendation. Aloe should not be used by pregnant women, young children, and the elderly.

Tea tree oil is an essential oil. It comes from Australia. It contains terpinen-4-ol, which is known as an active antimicrobial agent. Though the undiluted tea tree oil is unsafe for skin. It may cause skin irritation, itching, stinging, burning, or dryness. Make a 5% tea tree oil aqueous solution. Take 5 parts tea tree oil and mix it with 95 parts of water.

Olive leaf contains has antifungal, antiviral, antibacterial and antioxidant features. Its extract is available as pills and liquids for internal use. This extract is one of the most effective individual acne treatments.

So what other recommendations for acne treatment and acne medications can be used? First of all a good basic skin treatment is necessary.

These are all good basic skin regimens:

- Twice a day clearance with good skin cleanser;

- Apply a gel or cream containing 5% benzoyl peroxide, sulfur or resorcinol;

- At night use an acne preparation containing sulfur to the affected areas;

- Use a light skin moisturizer and oil-free makeup.

Laser treatments are also becoming popular in acne treatment. This type of acne treatment is claimed to be safe and can be effective.

Sometimes your acne problem amount to the vitamin and mineral deficiency. Think about it before using chemicals. Sometimes vitamin B5 and zinc administration is quite enough to finalize an acne problem.
